Tara Mosby Jones is the Principal and Founder of Leading in Love Consulting, LLC.  She is a native of central Virginia.  She attended college briefly (an engineering major of all things - if you get a chance, ask her about that experience).  Tara then joined the US Army where she served for six years.  Leaving home, she set out on a journey that has taken her to 3 continents, and 31 states across the US.   

During her military service, Tara served in technical and Human Resources (HR) capacities. What soon became apparent, is that the work God had for her would manifest in other areas (with or without her permission!)  She began a career in HR Leadership in 2006 and continues to work bi-vocationally as a HR executive in Charlottesville, Va.  She is an award winning HR leader and executive who is sought after to corral chaos; create collaborative workspaces and champion change.  She finds the work of organizational leadership a direct line of practical ministry in the world.  

Tara has earned an Associates’ of Arts degree from Methodist University, Bachelors of Business Administration from Austin Peay State University, and a Masters of Human Resources with a concentration in Conflict Management from Lipscomb University.  She also has an earned Master of Divinity degree from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University.  She will be pursuing a PhD in Organizational Leadership at Regent University. 

Tara began her ministerial journey teaching and leading women’s, children’s and veterans’ ministries and continues to serve nearly 20 years later as Associate Pastor at Anointed New Life Baptist Church. She is licensed and ordained in the Baptist church and ministers with intention to build leaders and the church body.

Tara leads with intention, working to strengthen spiritual health, relationships, and financial wellness. Her mantra and guiding words for ministry are attributed to Francis Assisi,

“Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary use words.”

She is a “newlywed" and lives in the Richmond VA with her husband and their three daughters.
